“What is done by night appears by day”. The only way to prevent people from knowing is not to do it. To clear the way to the throne, Macbeth killed the decent king Duncan, then Banquo----who was a brave, honest and intelligent man, also Macbeth's old comrade. Finally, although Macbeth achieved his goal of being king, as a retribution, he was tormented with dreadful visions----the dagger clotted with blood, the eerie sounds like hopeless screams, muttered prayers, and the word “Murder” with wild laughter. Then, even worse, during a lavish banquet, Macbeth saw the gory spectra of Banquo sitting on the chair reserved for him. The Macbeth began to shout at the vision like a frightened child, which made his guests leave the banquet and begin to wonder what the king was hiding in heart that drove him mad.
Well, just like what Macbeth said in deep regret----“Blood will have blood”, or in other words, “Do not think any vice trivial and so practise it.” Any trivial vice can cause serious after-match. In our lives, there are too many lures, and most will do harm to us. We must strengthen our abilities to resist lure, keep calm and sensible while we are facing it.
For example, during an exam, there is a difficult question which you can’t answer, and to solve this, maybe what you tend to do is to steal a glance at you desk-mate’s paper. But we can’t do that.
Actually, the difficult question is not only a trial of our intelligence, but also a trial of our morality. If someone gets good grades by cheating, he will not be happy or peaceful. Because his achievement is not real, his qualities are dishonorable.

“A contented mind is the greatest blessing a man can enjoy in this world.” Although I have been told the saying for many times, only after reading Macbeth do I understand the saying’s true mening.
Macbeth is the cousin of King Duncan, Thane of Clamis, also a fierce general who has lots of outstanding battle achievements. Some day after another victory, he led an army to return Scotland with drums beating and banners flying. Suddenly he spotted three wild and bearded witches who told him he would be the thane of cawdor, and then he was really appointed to be Thane of Cawdor. Then the hot grip of ambition, the strong desire for more power, started to be always tightening on his throat. But after King Duncan announced that his son would be his successor, Macbeth felt agitated. With the instigation of his ambitious wife, Macbeth started cleaning his way to thone by murdering anyone he saw as a threat. Finally a rebellion people rose against him, and the story ends with Macbeth being killed.
How the tragic the story is! How dangerous wild ambition can be!If Macbeth was a little less greedy, he could definitely gain a better ending. His dreadful death is completely caused by his wild ambition. I think it wasn’t at least sensible for him to cast his coretous eyes on the thone after the king’s successor had been announced.
The lesson which Macbeth’s experience taught us is suitable to be used in our lives. There are many people who are more talented than us in some ways, but we shouldn’t be not self-satisfied because of that. We must know that we also have our own potential waiting to be discovered and developed. For example, is there a guy who always beats you in math grades? Don’t be worried or jealous, you might beat him in English as well. See? That’s why people say “Each one has his good points.”
